Literatura, Komiks at Pelikula (literature, comics and film)

In the past history of Philippine movies, the late 1940's up to 70's called as the "Golden Age of Philippine Cinema" because in this era, all people love to watch movies that produce by the four big name in film industry of the Philippines; this are Sampaguita Pictures Inc., LVN pictures, Premiere Production and Libran. All this film company made several beautiful films that become popular not only in the Philippines but also in some parts of Asia.

Some movies story was made only by the directors but in the case of the movies from the late 40's to 70's, they get story to be filmed in Komiks (comics) and Tagalog Novels. All the great films showed to many people are come from Komiks that also widely read in the Philippines in the same era. There are many komiks magazine and book have been made, and one of this is the most popular Pilipino Komiks publish on the late 40's after war. It's become the national book of the Filipinos until the mass media like television and radio ends the komiks industry.

Novels also used to make a story to the movie. One of the famous film that come from a novel is "Maynila sa Kuko ng Liwanag" directed by Lino Brocka, this is a original novel by Edgardo M. Reyes originally entitled "Sa mga Kuko ng Liwanag".

In the future posting, i will post some of the movie poster that the story adapted in komiks and Literature so it can compare the elements, differences and similarity in the two medium.
